The Filmmaker

Insh’Allah follows the last twenty four hours in the life of two young women, an Israeli and a Palestinian, under the shadow of the Middle East conflict. Although the story of Shir and Lyllah is personal, it narrates the social-political persuasions of Israelis and Palestinians, allowing both to express their dignity, beauty and passion for freedom and justice. As destiny draws Shir and Lyllah toward an inevitable concourse, they see each other under a
new light - the light of Insh’Allah.

Yehuda graduated from Beit Tzvi Film School in Israel in 1981, and has been working as a production sound mixer in the film industry, first in New York and then in Los Angeles. In between sound mixing gigs (the latest, Me and You and Everyone We Know), Yehuda has writen and directed his own film projects. In his latest and most intriguing project to date, Insh’Allah, his filmmaking skills, peace and justice activism, and spiritual persuasion culminate to create a majestic tapestry of integrity passion and oneness.

The means may be likened to a seed, the end to a tree;
and there is just the same inviolable connection between
the means and the end as there is between the seed and the tree.
